Eu já falei aqui do LEAN GAINS, o blogue do treinador Martin Berkhan. Este especialista explora o jejum intermitente e o treino de força como ninguém, é um verdadeiro mestre nesta área. E ainda por cima Berkhan explica todos os aspectos científicos da questão. E posso assegurar, por experiência própria, que isto não são meras teorias, funcionam efectivamente na prática, com resultados para além das suas melhores expectativas. A prática de jejum intermitente é perfeitamente saudável, praticada desde tempos imemoriais por inúmeros povos e civilizações, e plenamente justificável num contexto evolucionário. Você só terá é de correr esse risco "seríssimo" de, ocasionalmente, saltar algumas refeições. É que não há volta a dar-lhe, para se estar em jejum terá mesmo de abdicar de algumas refeições. Mas note que não abdicará de todas as calorias, nem deverá sentir fome em ocasião alguma. Nos dias de treino até estará, na "janela anabólica pós-treino" (as 2 horas a seguir ao exercício), num contexto hipercalórico/anabólico. E sim, isto também inclui saltar o "saudável" pequeno-almoço, a tal refeição que outros "especialistas" dizem ser absolutamente indispensável à vida.
